All this talk of meat has got me hungry. I better go put a request in for meatloaf before she gets anything started.

So basically what you're gettin' at is don't spend the money to make it, but definitely give it a try if someone else does?

ok, so here are a couple pics of the food i made for the non-traditonal thanksgiving dinner i made for my friends the saturday after thanksgiving:
turkey ready to go in the fryer, it was a 20 lb son of a bitch injected with home made buffalo sauce:

some of the meat after craving (all of the big neat looking peices had been eaten by this point):

my homemade mac-n-cheese before being thrown in the oven:

the mac and cheese after being cooked (and eaten):

i was so busy cooking all of the food that i only remembered to take pics right before cooking things, and after people ate everything, haha.
the mac-n-cheese is always a crowd favorite, i came up with the recipe from scratch, so if anyone wants the recipe ill post it up.

alright, here goes:
Famous Four Cheese Mac-N-Cheese
2 lbs pasta (i prefer shells)
4 tbsp butter
4 tbspt flour
1 qt light cream
2 10 oz. packages of extra sharp (yellow) cheddar (cubed)
1 10 oz. package of vermont sharp white cheddar (cubed)
1/2 lb of velveta (cubed) (this is like a secret ingredient, keeps it creamy)
1 cup of grated parmesan cheese
1 tsp ground red cayenne pepper
-start to cook the pasta while you prepare the cheese sauce
-to make the cheese sauce, melt the butter and add the flour to create a roue (sp?). reduce heat and slowly add in the cream while simmering. dont let any lumps form.
-after the cream base has been assembled, start adding in your cubed cheeses. i usually dont add it all at once, maybe in 3 or 4 doses.
-after all of the cubed cheeses have been added throw in the parmesan, and cayenne (if you want a little more kick add a little more cayenne).
-salt and pepper to taste.
-throw the cooked pasts in a casserole dish, and pour the cheese sauce on top. mix well. if a crunchy top is desired, cover with a mixture of bread crumbs and additional parmesan cheese.
-throw it in the oven on 350 for about 30 minutes, or until the top is browning and the edges are bubbly.
this makes about 5lbs. of mac-n-cheese. it can be scaled back, but even when cut in half it makes a shitload.

I like corned beef. Never thought to put it in a dip though.
