Yea but I should have made a brown sauce for it instead. It was good but not as good as it should have been

been doing a lot of cooking at deer camp. Mostly just grilling ribs and chicken. Doing steaks, brats, and wings the next few days down there. I did slow cook some green beans down there with onion and kielbasa cut up in them with seasoned salt and a few other spices in them. Pretty good stuff.

You prepared something other than a meat product? I'm impressed!

Been lazy here. I've been using the slow cooker more than usual lately, and last night... I had Chipotle Grilled Chicken, cilantro lime rice, black beans, cheese, salsa and green sauce. I love those burritos! 865 calories Good thing I can only eat half of one

Tonight, I'm just making a chili. It's getting to be that time of year

Well, at least it's not just me I have to say, the first few weeks after the time change is when that happens. Then after a few times, you just either eat super early or wait until the time changes back again

You would have been proud. Just made two baked potato's and a huge (deep fried) chicken breast. I ditched the damn basket and just throw them in there now. Way easier

Nothing like getting back from hunting (sleeping) and making deep fried chicken with some awesome potatos.

** Mess was under control this time, thankfully **

Good for you! See, told ya I am proud

Why lose the basket though? You just using tongs?

If you just slip the chicken in the oil, it won't even touch the basket. It'll float.

Yea, just used some tongs. I will try that next time. Last time I tried just setting it in the basket right before putting it in. It still stuck, but not nearly as bad. I didnt have to eat out of the basket, so that was a good thing.

Every time I hear the words 'fried chicken' I think of you eating your chicken encrusted off your basket now

Hey, I used your marinade again the other night. I 'grilled' a Tri Tip in the oven at 450 for like 40 minutes and it was just like off the grill. It was great.
