Damn, un-fusing all this chicken/breading from the bottom of this basket is proving to be a harder task then what I thought it was going to be. Currently I have hot water running over it. Hard to even be around it honestly. Seeing How I just ate two massive deep fried chicken breasts. I'm full as hell, and slightly nauseous. In a good way, I think?
I need to stick to wrenching

in reality fried chicken isn't the easiest thing out there to cook. It's not extremely hard but it's one of those things that takes a few times of trying to get the hang of. Never had to eat it directly from the basket though.

I would just do it in a skillet if I were you....easier to eat from a skillet.

hope this thread isnt dying!
tonight i made chicken quesadillas. nothing insane, but i made my own seasonings for the chicken and it turned out great.

tortilla, cheddar and mozzarella cheese (i would have used only cheddar but i didnt have enough), chicken, and black beans

made some rice, put some chipotle chalula on it, then used the left over beans, salsa, and sour cream.
easy and good.

its hard to grill this time of year. by the time i get home from work, its dark out, so i cant really see what im doing. i dont have any outside lights outback, and since i live in an APT im not gonna put them in, other wise id still be posting pics of rib eyes almost weekly, haha.

I hear ya. I have a light out on the patio where my grill is. But, no matter where I put the grill, the light is always to my back and I block the light when in front of the grill

It's never too cold to grill out here, but, I like to be able to see what I'm doing

1 lbs of venison –diced
1 cup of peas
1 cup of diced carrots
1 cup of diced potatoes
1 cup of sliced mushrooms
½ cup of celery
1/3 cup of butter
1/3 cup of chopped onions
1/3 cup of flour
1 tbsp minced garlic
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp celery seed
2 cups of beef broth
2/3 cup of milk
2 9 inch pie tins
2 boxes of Pilsbury ready made pie crust
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
2. In a saucepan, combine venison, carrots, peas, and celery. Add water to cover and boil for 15 minutes. Remove from heat, drain and set aside.
3. In the saucepan over medium heat, cook onions, garlic and mushrooms in butter until soft . Stir in flour, salt, pepper, and celery seed. Slowly stir in beef broth and milk. Simmer over medium-low heat until thick. Remove from heat and set aside.
4. Place the venison mixture in bottom pie crust. Pour hot liquid mixture over. Cover with top crust, seal edges, and cut away excess dough. Make several small slits in the top to allow steam to escape.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 -50 minutes, or until pastry is golden brown and filling is bubbly. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
I will post pics later after they are done cookingLast edited by cuervo25_1; 11-18-2009 at 11:32 AM.
