Real Mach 1's have different roofs above the rear side windows.... subtle difference but easy way of telling the reals from the fakes.

I used to want a GT mustang when I was 15 or so, then I did my research and found out how much better LS1 cars are. I got my SS 2 weeks after I turned 17 and haven't looked back. My car before it was a 1990 VW Vanagon. Talk about a change.

ha, yea thats a huge change. Trust me I know the LS1 is a lot better, but I just want something fun to drive.
Look Man, I came from riding the bus, to having a suburban which i'm lucky to have and now I'm allowed to move onto something better which is so awesome in my eyes, i'm just fortunate i'm allowed the oppurtunity to have a vehicle. I'm not gonna be picky about this, whatever i get, i get, GT or F-body, it doesn't matter, i'm driving something and i'm gonna be happy.

I looked at a bunch of stangs... I was actually in the same boat as you and thought the stang would be better and fun cuz it was cheaper along with that sick exhuast!!! However I knew it wasnt what I wanted, my friends both had ls1's one was a 2000 z28 6 spd that he got for 4k with 96k on it. My other friends was a 98 z28 with 55k on it for $4k. I had a firebird so I liked f bodys but I couldnt afford a trans am. I searched for a while and finally found mine 99k on it its an 02 z28 for $4k. They're out there you just gotta keep looking. Btw my buddy has an 04 mach1 5 spd so its got the 4 valve and it still doesnt pull up top like my ls1 does. 1st gear its all fun 2nd gear im leaving lol both have similiar mods but it'll get worse when I get longtubes. If you do get a stang they are great I wouldnt trade my old 66' coupe for anything but the 2v are just dormant engines they dont respond well to mods at all. So youd be dumping money into a car that wont be doing a whole lot when you could have used that money on an ls1.

Either do I, but I like it... I feel the car may be pricey and don't know if I want to make payments on it.
It's a 1996 Mustang Cobra, 45,000 miles procharged, with supporting mods. Also built suspension with 99 Cobra wheels. All work done by a well known local Mustang tuner. It was garaged kept, looks nice.

Yup, just like I said, the car won't be heavily modded anytime soon. Either cars just gonna have like bolt on's and some suspension components to allow better handling but thats it. I know i'd be better off with the LS1 but, I could always sell the gt down the line and get an LS1 powered F-Body, i'm gonna get one anyway. Just need a fun daily driver. thats all.

Man, you drive a burb. You wouldn't know handling if it slapped you upside the dick. Don't worry about handling first, even a non-ws6 T/A or Formy along with the Mustang GT handle great. Suspension mods for straight line traction and to keep from breaking stuff however are great. Make it fast along with looking and sounding good is what you should worry about
