1993 Mustang Gt(SOLD!)- Searching for LS1 TransAm
I know the potential the car has for the money, but imo ls1/lt1's look a lot better and faster. Fixing all the shit that breaks on my car isn't too fun or cheap either even though i do all of the work on my car. And no i couldn't afford an ls1, I'm in high school and sonic doesn't pay that good. lol

1993 Mustang Gt(SOLD!)- Searching for LS1 TransAm
Yeah i'm a senior and I had to drive a 2001 chevy blazer my junior year. lol
I still drive it when my car breaks down haha.
So far i have a cobra upper and lower intake, b303 cam, short throw shifter, ac delete, rear seat delete, and a pair of mickey thompsons(not on the car, only for track) oh and 3:73 gears but I'm waiting to get those installed.
I'm picking up a set of gt-40p heads on saturday!

Aw thats nasty man, that thing sounds like it's sweet as hell, I've heard good things about those heads before, they should flow real good. You should have a lotta top end especially with that cam you have to. Should be stout. Wait do you have the stock exhaust setup or what?
And yea, I like the blazer's dude, but the suburban is actually not bad man, I love it, not a beater by any means, I was gonna mod it, but ready for a different style.

If you want a comparably faster track car? Buy an LS/T1.
If you want a better overall car with better build quality and better ride quality? Buy the Mustang.
The half second difference in 1/4 mile times won't ever be noticed in 99 percent of your daily driving. Plus, the Mustang just sounds better. There is no beating a Mustang in terms of just how good that exhaust sounds.
All that said, there's definately something wrong with that car. There's comparably equiped mileage '03 GT's locally that are 6 and 7K more expensive.Last edited by Tide; 10-19-2009 at 06:03 PM.

Yeah unfortunately i have stock exhaust. I also have an off road h pipe sitting in my room but they are for longtubes so i'm waiting till i find a good deal on a set of longtubes. I'm kinda buying everything as i find them (cheap and used) I really need those longtubes! And i love the blazer, gots a lot of low end torque! haha you should have seen my friends face when i smoked his integra with a fart can in the blazer from a 25 roll!

Yea, the mustangs sound awesome, you can always tell when a mustang is driving by they have a VERY unique exhaust note, I love em. But you can't beat the LS1/LT1's performance, mod wise the f-body is a better car but, just like I said the car won't be modded heavily anytime soon, kind of a toss up on what I get a better deal on, I like both cars.

I am not reading all this shit again to tired... But insurance, I found to be cheaper on the Trans Am then Mustang GT's... Also, it's getting hard to find an M6. I liked my auto with a shift kit, it was nice and perfect for the city, that's what D.C. is. But it's up to you, I would try an find an M6 personally. But would not rule out a nice A4.
PS: I am looking at a procharged 96 Cobra, the insurance is ummm, pretty pricey but not bad. I am unsure about this... Feel it may be a bit high. But has the rare Mystic Blue and only has 45,000 miles, also built by a local well know Mustang tuner. But IDK.
Another option I have, my moms boss has a BMW 750il 130,000 miles class 1 bullet proof. He's selling to get a class 3, $7,500.

I mean, we probably won't be living here much longer, I think my moms moving out to virginia within the next few months, having a stick is not a problem anymore, it should be wide open roads, not that hard to find an M6 but they usually cost more than an A4 when I do find them.
Oh god, not another car thats going on it's roof j/k. The 96 Cobras are sweet, especially the color mystic blue thats nice. Go for it if you can afford it I would, especially since it's procharged
I don't know what to say about that bimmer, why would you want a bullet proof car?

Black- 1999 Camaro Z28
Insurance on my WS6 under my parents name was $115 a month. Insurance on my 96GT vert, 62 dollars a month. Oh yeah and no more $380 a month car payment. Get the cheaper car, if you find a LS1 that you can afford get it, if you find a mustang GT, get it. Honestly, you can get one another time. Get something with cash now, low miles, drive it till it dies then with the savings you have either mod it to hell or buy a new car.

I know because I was in your shoes. I could care less which is faster right now because its all about what you can afford in cash.

Red Fire- 2007 Mustang GT/CS
Sorry it took so long for me to respond, been busy here at work..
Well, wanna do a cam upgrade ? sure two cams 790.00 for the pair.. Need special tools to hold the 4 feet of timing chain still.. Those cams ( and they SOUND awesome FRRP Lumpy lope cams ) will net you about 30-50 rwhp.. If you do a CAI and a Tune w/ LT Headers.. Get about the same out of a lid/K&N and FRA mod on a LS1..(I dyno'd 320.7 on my O1 with those mods..A4 too.. I ain't saying I don't love my Stang.. I do.. absolutely. It fills exactly what I bought it for.. But that ain't trying to hang with an LS1 anything..
Just my opinion and it's free (get what ya pay for).
Just don't expect your Stang to stay with LS1's with basic mods..LS1's respond WAY better mod for mod..I happen to Like the look of alot of Mustangs (Nothing is as sexy as a Black WS6 tho)but I am the odd duck on here.. Being it's a GM based forum and all. I would have gotten a GTO if I could have found one as cheap as I got my Stang... Just saying
