worth replacing my LS2 intake with LS6
I was wondering if it is worth picking up a new (to me) intake. My car has limited mods...cme, msd plugs, wires, and coil packs, smooth bellows, slp lid, and high flow filter. I intend on cuttin out the cats and sending my computer for a tune.
So question is what is the hp gain...is it worth the 300 to change out the intake before I tune?

Go ahead and replace it, especially for 300. It'll help you out with other mod's down the road.

I would say yes for that price. More power is always better. the LS6 is a good intake.

5-10 RWHP. Pretty minimal. You won't feel it, but it'll help you out with mods down the road.

Well, yeah. It's the best, but it's over 1100 with intake and TB.

Can you run the same tb that is on the LS1 intake with the LS6??

if you can i honestly would do as much as possible to get some long tube headers in there aswell before the tune. you get one more mod in that messes with the tune and you would only have to tune it once as opposed to tuning it after your listed mods and gettin a retune after the headers. saves you a few hundreds down the line. but definitely do the tune after the intake. to drop some emissions equipment the ls6 intake doesnt have. and either fab up some block off plates or buy some for the egr tube coming from the exhaust manifolds. you will either need to delete the egr system or drill a hole in the ls6 intake to make it fit in. i would rather delete it because it makes the engine bay cleaner looking.

So your now running a 78mm throttle body on a 90mm intake?
Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!

I highly doubt it ever performs to even an UNported FAST.
