Need to locate a needle named Zamora in a Haystack

**Mean Green Z28** · 12-17-2008, 05:34 PM

UPDATE!!!

The wife Emailed me today and here's her note:

oh my gosh yes!!!! we have been looking for that everywhere!!!! i hope u still have it? thank you so much for getting in contact with me.

this is my address:

Audrey Zamora
xxxx xxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxx TX

if you could mail it to us that would be great. if u want to send me ur address i can write you a check for mailing fees. thank you so much!

Audrey Thurston

Ofcourse, I was happy as can be to finally get through to her/him, I replied:

Hi Audrey,

Yes I still have it and yes I will get it out to you asap.

It was a fun little adventure in locating you guys and although the
task seemed daunting, I had help from the guys at www.ls1.com,
www.ls1tech.com, www.mdstreetscene.com and www.easternfbody.com, who
gladly helped me return the SD card to you. At one point, I felt like
the guy from Lord of the Rings ... haha. The threads started in
finding you will go down in history (well, atleast within the forums)
as an epic story of honest people out there willing to spend some time
helping others, which we see so little of these days.

Anyway, we've found you'll and I'm sure everyone involved will be glad
that they were part of it. It's the least we could do for someone who
puts his life on the line protecting us.

Don't worry about paying me back with postage fees/etc. but if you
must, a simple note thanking the above mentioned forums will be
appreciated.

What made him upset? That nobody did this sort of thing for him? lol

I showed this to my mom (got out of the army in 96) and she thought it was fucking awesome.

I think he meant upset as in emotional. Not upset as in angry

i'm going to make yet another shameless plug on here for the Patriot Guard.

www.patriotguard.org

if you want to serve the families of our fallen hero's in their greatest time of need and help their healing begin then head over and to the website, join, and start going to missions.

Thread of the year. Or best thread ever. I can't imagine how much that excited Audrey.

that's really awesome! I don't ride anymore but my son and his father do and I will forward this link to them.

And, with those crazy groups out there demonstrating at funerals... this is a very good thing. Those people suck!

(And, never hurts to have a few tattooed guys on Harleys showing their support and keeping those crazy nuts at bay either

)

**JoshieDoom** · 12-18-2008, 11:05 AM

there is no requirement that you must ride a motorcycle. the members in cars and trucks are some of our most dedicated members and they are invaluable as they are always willing to pack water and blankets and such just in case or provide a ride if there is a break down.

even if you don't have a bike...join anyway. your troops need you.

Oh, I know and will. I just don't get out much. But, if there were a need in my area... I'd be there
