:rant: Can't remove hoses from water pump

Like the title says, I can't get 3 hoses (2 small that go to the heater box and 1 large hose to the radiator) off the water pump. They feel like they are stuck on there... The hoses do have 85k on them, so what are my options here?

A coolant hose removal tool its like an ice pick thats bent ,just a little thicker

try to twist them before pulling on them. A lot of times you can twist them and break the seal. If you have a pair of pliers big enough that'll help. I've had to do that a bunch of times. Take a pair of wire pliers and grab the hose on the fitting and twist it back and forth. It'll come off easy once you break that seal.

Yea, the clamps came off easily, it's just the hoses are stuck. I'll try using pliers with tape on the so that it doesn't mess up the hose. Thanks!

Get new hoses..........don't reuse the old ones!!
Take a razor blade and put a cut in the hose lenghtwide...shot of WD40..
they'll slide right off

With a little twisting they came off easily! The hoses are actually still in pretty good shape with no signs of cracking or dry rot, so I'm gonna re-use them.
