I think I put my water hoses all wrong!!!
Ok, I know I'm going to hear it for being a dumbass, but here goes; I have a 2000 T/A WS6. My water pump went bad and I replaced it, along with installing a new thermostat. I disconnected the water hoses leading to it for the replacement and I was pretty sure that I reconnected everything properly. However, after driving it about five miles yesterday (right after I finished the install), it overheated. It ran at 209 for about three to four miles, then it just shot up. When I opened the hood, I saw that water had been ejected from my cooland reservoir vent. There were no leaks anywhere else. After a while, it cooled and I added some water at a local convenience store. I drove it back, and had the same problem.
I dug into my book and it has not routing for the water hoses. I THINK that is the problem since I messed with nothing else save for disconnecting the Throttle body and MAF connectors to get the air cleaner assembly off. I visually checked and double checked those and they're fine. My only doubt now is that I may have reconnected the water lines wrong. Anyone have a routing diagram for those? Everything else works fine, including my Temp Gauge (ha ha).
Thanks all.

I think it would be pretty hard to swap the hoses and have them even come close to attaching where they are supposed to attach.
How did you fill the radiator?
The proper fill procedure should be in your manual.
The LS1 has no bleeder valves so you should most likely fill it up as high as it will go then start it with the radiator cap off. As the engine gets up to running temperature the water level will drop as air gets pushed out then just keep filling it up until its actually fully.
Sounds like you just got air in there. Also a good time to test your radiator cap and make sure its still holding the proper amount of pressure.

Thanks for the help, I'll try it...
Thanks Gnomee,
I'm going to try that right now and see what happens. I have alternate transportation so I can just let her sit there and try things, I'd like to get her going, though.
If anyone has any other ideas, I would definitely appreciate hearing them.
