RTV or Gasket For Rear End Diff Cover?
I'm about to change the rear end diff fluid in my 98 Z28 and wanted to know if I should order the gasket or just use black RTV gasket maker. In my old 3rd gen 9 bolt I just used the black RTV and it worked great with no leaks, I just wanted to ask you guys what you recommend for the 4th gens.
Thanks.Last edited by Boat; 05-20-2008 at 07:48 PM.

I used the ultra high temp red RTV silicone with no gasket. No leaks with 10k since fluid change. Recommended fluid is 75w-90.
