Since you chose the 700R4 it has a 3.06 first gear ratio which is VERY low. That's why those 80's Camaro's pulled hard for a second then fell on there faces....It was only that steep gear.
I see from the pics you have some regular BFG's on it unless you love sitting in one place and blowing the tires off don't go that steep with the gears in the ass.
If you plane on putting a nice pair of Drag Radials on those 8" ralleys and putting a nice pair of soft springs in the rear to get that weight transfer it would be fun though. Sorry but I hate sitting and spinning anymore. It was cool when I was 16 but there is too many quick imports now that are all wheel drive and I'll be damned if I get spanked by a 4 cyl. cause I can't hook.

Good point. I forgot about the first gear ratio in that transmission. 3.73s would be a nice gear, especially since he does some highway driving.

My first v8 was a 68 Chevelle with a 350.. saved up for years to buy it in highschool, ended up hitting a deer doing 70-75, killed the fucking deer and the car

My first high HP V8 was my 1969 Camaro 396. When I bought it, it had a gutless 350 in it but after a couple years I replaced it with a 396 built to about 400hp.

i started with dodge trucks, had a 96 dodge indyram with P&P heads headers/exhaust
then moved to a 99 Dakota R/T with full boltons/100 shot and then moved up to a 2002 Z28 with exhuast/Lid?100 shot and went 7.70's on street tires

my first v8 car i drove was my dads Olds Cutlass with a 442 in it. but the first car i actually bought was for $600 1989 Chevy Camaro 2.8l v6. that POS was slow as hell, but it would smoke the fuck out of teh firehawk tires i had on there. Im now still trying to buy this Lt1 Formula but i cannot sell my 95 firebird at all, prolly cause its a 3.4l

My 2nd car was a 69 Camaro SS 396 that I bought in 1973. It was a 325hp car with a Th400and I thought it was fast. Spun a rod bearing racing it.

i wouldn't say high hp... but i bought a 1974 corvette with a L82 when i was 18... that car was my pride and joy... i bought it for $9,800.00 and put about that much in to it fixing it... the body was cherry... no rust anywhere but on the headers... but as for hoses, and other mechanical parts i couldn't say the same... i miss that bitch...

you had a Cutlass with a 442 in it?? you mean you had a 442...

my first v8 was a 78 formula it had a 350 with a whopping 175 hp if I remember my first high hp car was a 88 mustang five speed that thing was fast.....
