Konis backorder
I ordered my koni sa and the koni rear shocks FEBUARY 26TH and they are still not here ..anyone else experiencing the same delay ..i was told the konis were supposed to SHIPPED TO THE states last week ?

i just ordered mine and haven't heard of any backorder yet. i ordered mine from sam strano. Once I hear something I'll post again. Hopefully they aren't on backorder though!

yes ,he told me when i odered them they would take about 2 weeks ..i called last week he said they should be arriving in the states soon ?

I'm not sure what you want me to do..... I'm not trying to pull a fast one, you can feel free to call Koni yourself and ask about them if you'd like to check and see if I'm lying. The number is 800-922-2616. There aren't any in the country, and until Koni gets their order I can't magically make them appear. I'm sorry.
All shocks that have been ordered from me are on order from my suppliers, and they are in turn on order from Koni NA. We backorder and pay for them to insure delivery ASAP. When backorders happen, it tends to breed more backorders. If we just wait and see, then what is coming in tends to be sold to others and we have to wait another cycle. i wasn't saying you were trying to pull a fast one at all. sorry if there was any confusion. You have been great to do business with so far. I think wicked was just curious is all. I didn't know about the backorder but then again I just placed my order not too long ago

Ok, we're cool....
I understand wanting information, nothing wrong with that at all. I just ask in the future folks simply contact me by phone, e-mail, or PM when asking about the status of an order. It's just with the age of internet when someone asks such a thing of the generic public, the automatic reaction is that I'm is up to something.
I know the customer in this case (not personally). I've passed along the best information I have to give. In the end, I have no control over Koni's inventory, production, or shipping schedules. I believe Gary has recieved all the other parts he ordered. There was a question about on specific part, I called the vendor, the vendor called me back, and I gave them the customer's phone number so they could discuss directlt--haven't heard a word since from either the customer or the vendor so I assume everything worked out.

its cool I really didn't have the question. Like i said I had just ordered them. I had just told him that if i found out anything that I would tell him. If i ever have questions I'd contact you directly.

New ETA now for shocks to Koni is right at the end of the month. I have one order in hand today for a set of 4/3's (is that you Joe?) and before I process anything I will call the customer. I.E. the order I have has not been run and will not be until I talk with the customer and get approval for the backorder.
In the case that spurred the thread. I was told an order was coming in about 2 weeks after the order was placed... For some reason that didn't materialize, and I recall hearing it was a stated inventory issue (showed shock in stock that were not).
If any customer with parts on backorder would like to cancel any order, you are free to do so (with no hard feelings). However, in any situation where quanity discounts are involved, say if someone bought a Handling Package the credit would be minus the discount for the package price as it's not longer a package if the shocks were to be cancelled.
I'm sincerely sorry that Koni is out of shocks, but I can't make them just appear out of thin air. I assure you that just as soon as they become available they'll be on the way. I like to think I got my reputation by being upfront, and the bottom line is that I'm waiting for them to arrive just like everyone else is.

i was not trying to call anyone out ,i am very concerned when i send that much money out and it takes so long to recieve the product ..i have new tires on the front so i have been putting off an alignment till i get the shocks so that is another reason for concern ..

I understand your point. There is little Strano can do right now though. He doesn't make them.
I have paid for my Nitto DR's. Apparently on backorder, but I need to call Discount about that.
I have also paid for my Koni's. Just waiting now.
