    ah your right, But that must be on the newer/ past 91 models. I wish I still had my first gen 2.8 and 3.1 ... then I could show you what I was talking about as to not look stupid LOL

    I know what you're talking about, The car in question is a '96. The older 2.8/3.1 has a different designed heads and gaskets.

    lmao u guys are killin me..alright a buddy of mine is gonna dive into this mess for 500 in labor.....now he suggested replacing the thermostat as well while doin this and im goin to need a head gasket install kit correct? his suggestion as well having the entire kit..think they run just over a 100 bucks ....also im goin to need a new intake gasket as well right? since thats coming off to get to the heads....how bout the header gasket as the header has to come off to get under the head as well? thanks much appreciated

    Any gasket that needs to come off should be replaced.
