Spyware, go to lavalsoftusa.com download the free version and do a full system scan...
ELSE, you've connected a blue tooth device to your computer and windows thinks its really neat, so it wont let you delete it.

Windows XP Pro SP2
nope, its a legit system folder apparently... clicking delete button does nothing, right clicking on it only yeilds: Open, Explore, Add Bluetooth Device and Create Shortcut. I have had a bluetooth USB modual plugged in for the last like 4 months, that icon was NEVER on my desktop before... I'm very anal about my desktop organizationeven when I unplugged the device and reset the icon remains.
i also noticed that my bluetooth icon is also no longer present in the running program icons on the low right of the task bar... did it jump from the task bar to the desktop somehow??

You or someone else on your PC may have dragged it over. There should be property setting in the program that will let you not show it on your desktop and show it in the system tray. I don't have anything connected with blue tooth to my PC or I would tell you more.
