if its flat or a down grade, i'll start in 2. I still have skipshift and honestly, i like it as i've noticed its fuel benefit

I never really got what the skipshift does, I just know you cant shift whiles the light turns on. It doesnt come on all the time, what exactly does it do?

I do. Most of the time I skip from 3rd to 5th. I also drive about 90 highway miles a day. So I go from4th to 6th all the time. Gotta love the M6 123,000 miles and I still get like 27 MPG highway.

yes, In theory. as mentioned, if your light comes on but it doesn't force you into 4th as you move out of 1st, your's has been eliminated, but the light still comes on. If you've never driven a car with skip still installed, it's like night and day. It comes out of nowhere sometimes...i think if you stay below 2500 RPMs for like 3 seconds, it figures your not trying to accelerate that fast, so just dump it into 4th and save the fuel.

Sweet, I like it much better now, before I thought it was annoying, I figured it was trying to say skip 2nd and go into 3rd but that didnt work, so I just paciently waited for it go away

Just cruising such as going to work I usually go from 1st to 2nd to 4th to 6th. If I feel really antsy I'll go from 1st to 2nd to 6th because when I shift outta 2nd I'm already doin 70MPH

i hate that stupid skip shift, ive grinded 4th twice because of it, only time ive grinded a gear, not paying attention just going through the "routineness" of shifting and it getting stuck at the top of 4th, i bought the CAGS eliminator just havent installed it

With 3:42's I would skip shift some of the time from 3rd to 5th
Now with 4:10's I go 1st, 3rd, and 6th! It's great for gas mileage and saves alot of "wear and tear"

I got skipshift turned off resistor mod ftw but I still skip gears all the time. I don't think I have ever used third, lol it is pointless, 4th will go 20mph no problems and 2nd gets you there with low rpm usage.

Yep. Skip as needed. Sometimes 1st 3rd 5th. Sometimes I go 1st 4th, when the light comes on if the traffic is light. I elimitated my CAGs but the light still comes on when it used to tell me how to drive. Now I tell it how I will drive. Do Not Control Me!!!!!!!!
