Skip Shift eliminator

Does anyone know which is the best or if it matters? I found this one on ebay (Skip Shift Eliminator CAGS delete LT1 LS1 LS2 Plug/Play) for $10.

There are also others for $15, up to 30, some are wiring harness, etc.

Not sure what the difference is, any help is appreciated.


Also, I have heard that the eliminator does not get rid of the skip shift light, does anyone know how to go about that easily?

take the LED out. or just ignore it, really no reason to remove it. also make sure you get one that doesn't block out your Reverse block out cuz that would be bad if you were going fast and then stuck it in reverse... lol

Another option is to have it turned off with a tuner of some sorts.

Just do the Radio Shack resistor mod, it's cheap and easy

I have the skip shift eliminator from SLP, I actually enjoy seeing the light and having the option to skip to 4th or not. The light still comes on but the gate to 2nd or 3rd is available. Sometimes I laugh hysterically at the light and tell it to F#@k Off!

Yeah, that light is my mortal enemy as it comes on when most people would typically shift to 2nd.

I did the radioshak resistor mod...now I am going to do the LED mod to my TCS light on the dash, annoying as fuck at night time, and I mean, the switch itself has a light when on so is it REALLY neccessary?
