that was a typo he meant to say 23949275 hp. i say all you need are a few NOS stickers and a fart can and that can be easily obtained with a B18 Honda swap. seriously though, I say LS1 swap because IMO it is a much better platform and a stronger motor

sold: 1999 firebird- 1998 Trans Am
you'll have to change alot more than just your pcm when you put an ls1 into an lt1 car,
i'm talking, gauges, fuellines, sensors, wiring harnesses, its a nightmare, just rebuild your original motor, or buy another one and do some free mods,

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
To quote a movie saying, "Speed is just a question of money. How fast can you go?"
Let me guess the neons got too hot and melted something? What happened to racing at Firebird???? Sorry I just couldn't resist...
On a more serious note, what you're willing to pay will determine what you can and/or should do. How messed up is messed up? Can you elaborate? If it ain't "blowed da fawck up" you might be able to salvage parts to build on.
Also, do you or somebody you know wrench on cars? Labor is frightfully expensive.
FYI: Since you have a LT1 car it would be considerably less expensive to build another 350 or 383 (bigger?). The AZFBA Prez just put a built 355 (forged everything) in his 96 Purple Firehawk and it's running 12.40's with just a basic tune. An LT1 can be made to run just like any other engine.Last edited by 67CamaroRSSS; 03-04-2010 at 01:54 PM.
