Need new engine!
SO i just found out bad news. My piston rings our going bad and i got a quote and its gonna cost 5-7k. the reason is he's going to replace a bunch of shit so im not doin that. im gonna run it to the dirt. i need a new engine so i need to know where to get a crate motor a good one, or if someone is selling and ls1 motor with low miles on it. And another question can the ls2 work with the tranmission i have (stock) thanks for the help and input

Fred beans... i believe they are one of our sponsors... but i talked to a friend of mine that works there... since my car is a 99 i had to block off the EGR tube... that is it other than swap over the pullies... i drove it for about 400 miles and then decided fuck breaking it in... it's dyno tune time... quick way to get damn near 400 rwhp...

You could reuse the block, make it like a 355, block work would run prob around 800, sped 3k on iternals have the heads port and polished thats about another couple hundred. Then you would have a 4200 dollar engine that can handle 700rwhp lol That way you could rasie the comp ratio, probably would be making around 400rwhp with the ability to handle alot more. And 355s can rev like motha if you wanted to upgrade the cam and valve train which i recommend and intake manifold probably cost around 5-6k and be a perfect fit in the car and with the tranny. It would also then make around 450-470rwhp and could handle a 200 shot easy
