You're obviously not too bright..this car is going nearly as fast in the quarter as this supra is going in the mile...that's the point.

I think you really are slow, you are comparing quarter mile racing to mile racing. Do you compare 8th mile cars against quarter mile cars too??
We can go back and fourth showing fast cars on youtube or streetfire all day the bottom line is they are both fast cars that do what the builders wanted them to do very well in different performance measurements.
If one is the best in the quarter mile does not mean it will be best in the mile or the other way around.

That camaro goes damn near as fast as your beloved supra does in an entire mile...the comparison is embarrassing for the supra.

I mean how fast would that camaro go if it continues past the 1/4 mile...we can only speculate but guaranteed if it had another gear in the trans it wouldn't even be close.

The supra ran 246 in fifth meaning it had another gear, the one that ran 243 weighed 3600 lbs still had the subs in the car.
Lets just get back to what the thread is about a 370Z against a gto, good kill for the gto. Enough said.Last edited by jomo; 05-11-2009 at 07:59 AM.

Ok let me try to break this down even more simply since you can't seem to comprehend what I'm saying.
Camaro-205mph in the quarter mile
supra-240 in the mile
In the quarter mile the camaro would be bus lengths ahead of the supra and if geared for it, it would continue pulling away through the additional 3/4 of a mile.

I think you need to first understand what the Texas mile is for registered street cars. Your quarter mile Camaro is a full race car not allowed in the Texas mile. Are you still with me?
If you want I can post a full race supra doing 6's in the quarter at 218mph does this mean that it will win the Texas mile??
You are comparing two different kinds of cars, full race car to a street legal car in two different racing competitions and your speculating the outcome.
Do you understand now??

Slap some street tires and tags on the camaro and it's street legal...what's ur point? Like the supra doesn't have 10's if not hundreds of thousands of dollars invested in it. Most people compare speed with the quarter mile not the texas mile....do you understand now?

I highly doubt someone will be driving either to the grocery store...they're both full out race cars despite what you may say.

I can post up NA cars going 220 in the 1/4 mile. Please show me a supra NA that can run those times.

Im new here but have been around cars and racing a long time, but you are comparing a full race to a street car. There is a big differance between quarter and 1 mile aerodynamics, gearing ect come into play.
