LS1 Corvette heads vs Ls1 Camaro heads
I have a chance to buy a set of 2000 corvette heads for my 01 ss, the heads i have on now are ported polished bigger valve and harder guides and springs. Is there much of a diffrence between the two? THe guy only wants 100 bucks for the pair didn't know if it would be worth messing with or not thanks

Agree with slowass, vette heads dont flow that much better.

2000 Corvette heads & 2001 F-body heads flow the exact same. It's the same casting and same head.
Vettes & F-bodies (minus the Z06) have the same heads on them per year.

Silver- 2000 Camaro SS
LS1
Early 2000 = 853 casting
Late 2000 - 2004 = 241 castings
LS6/LS2
243 castings
243 castings were introduced in 2001 for the Z06 Corvette and carried over onto the LS2 when it was inttroduced in 2005. The LS6 came with lighter valves in the 243 casting.
241 castings are better than 853 castings, but not by much. If you have an '01 then you have 241. If they are ported with larger valves, there is no real comparison to another stock head, unless it's a 243 casting.
