Who's Ordering a New Camaro?
Anyone here planning to order a new Camaro?
Myself, I'm holding out for a convertible.
That gives me another year to talk myself into it.Last edited by Y2KSS1363; 09-29-2008 at 11:36 AM. Reason: Typo in the title.

I wont decide until I have driven one, and it will have a six speed. Same with the Challenger RT. Definately no Mustang.

Still torn between it and the Challenger. I'll decide after I have driven both but I am getting one or the other.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
I've already put a $500 deposit down on an SS vert. Won't be able to order til next year (Feb/Mar was the dealers guess). Since I want a vert I have to wait till next years model.... But I'm 1st in line so....

Pewter- 2001 Camaro Z28 M6
i never buy first year, first run of something new. I always wait for the bugs, revisions or new models to be worked out.
I'm sure GM has a few features planned for the camaro, if the first year does well.
plus I am waiting for a rumored z28 model.

Navy Blue Metallic- 2000 Camaro Z28 A4
First, I love my Z28, but if I could order one (and then it should be a Z28) here in Europe (Is the Camaro coming to Europe, I wonder?) I probably would, but I wouldn't sell my 2000...
Anyway I guess I couldn't afford a new one and I should wait a couple of years and buy a used one in pristine condition of course...

I'm going to wait and see how the economy pans out first...I heard the bail out plan wasn't approved. I like the challengers looks a lot more but the maro has less weight and a better drivetrain

Green- 94 Camaro 3.4
They haven't yet. They have released "their numbers" which most people think are bullshit(slower than what they really will be).
Yes there is, this year the challengers are only available in automatic, but next year they will have the 6 speed, as well as the RT model.
But back to the topic... I won't be ordering one... I will wait for the markup to disappear before I even start thinking about it. And, by that time I will have gotten to drive my moms SS that she will be picking up when they first come out, lol. I might just steal the damn thing from her.
On another note.... how in the hell can you guys think the challenger looks better then the camaro??? I just don't see it...

As much as I dislike the new camaro I'll have to say it def looks interesting. There was a writeup out now on the v6 model that I lol'd about... The v6 camaro is suppose to have 310/270 hp/tq and get 19/28mpg I believe I read, 0-60 in under 6 seconds. So basically your paying less, getting more power, and getting better gas mileage then a v8 mustang from a v6 camaro LOL. If theyre in 5 second 0-60 bracket it probably wouldnt take much to beat a v8, so im wondering how the v8 model of the camaro will be now.
