I got approved!!! 2000 TA
sup guys I got approved for my loan on a 2000 trans am. I'm still in a little bit of shock... lol Still a little nervous... This is my dream car!!!
Still confused on exactly what it is... I have not got the codes off the door to tell for sure. but it's a 2000 trans am midnight blue - leather t-tops 53,000 miles. It's got the ram air hood and the circle exaust pipes but no ws6 badge... I thought only the ws6 edition had the nostril hood and circle exaust pipes? Anyway guy wants 10,500 obo. He mentioned he would take 9,500. I plan on offering his 9000 cash and see if he jumps on it. He says it's completely stock.
Any imput would be appreciated.

carfax it! its worth the 19 or so dollars. and you can use it an unlimited amount of times for a month.. saved my a$$.
He may have not been the first owner the ram air hood is a popular mod. or it may just be missing the badge, it could have been that it was hit from behind and had body work done. or maybe had a paint job and the decal wasnt replaced... theres a number of things. just ask A LOT of questions!!!
and CARFAX!!! i almost bought an awesome 02 firehawk with a ram air hood and a butload of mods, but found out it had two salvage titlles and flood damage....
but 9500 is a good price if its in good condition

Auto, it's got some aftermarket chrome rims on it as well. I wanna try and find some of the black vette rims... I think that will look sweet
Yea I have carfax, it checked out ok..... Everthing showed clear. I know the guy went to school with him. He's always been known as one of those honest good guys. Just says he don't have time to really enjoy it or drive it so he just wanted to get rid of it to someone who would enjoy it. When I told him I was interested he was like ok I'll pull it off the road for a few days, just let me know.... Which I thought was pretty cool of him to do with no deposit or nothing.Last edited by knightryda01; 09-02-2008 at 05:29 PM.

Navy Blue Metallic- '00 Formy A4
Cool, sounds like a good deal.
Plenty of cars the get the WS6 hood added later, so that's not really an indication of WS6 or not. The hood is the main advatage of WS6 though, so either way you're all set.
WS6 or not, the price still sounds good for the mileage. I paid more for my Formula one year ago with 12k more miles.

most likely not a ws6 i would say if it didnt come up on the carfax. if so it would have the whole performance package and i believe that includes suspension upgrade. no biggie. just would be better to have it id say. good luck

Pewter- 2002 Trans Am WS6 M6
If there is no badge then i would probably say no but then the only way to truly know is to look for the WS6 code on the door. The only items they have over a base trans am is a little bit bigger exhaust, an upgraded suspension, functioning ram air hood with raised air box and a power steering cooler. All these items can be bought aftermarket.

not sure but dont the regular trans ams have the 16" chrome rims with the ABS on it and the WS6's have the 17"s with WS6 in the middle??? or was that anouther option. it prolly doesnt matter much b/c the he said that the rims were after market and the rims are one of the first things ppl change, just wanted to know though.

[]D [] []V[] []D- 1999 trans am
one really easy way to tell if it is a real WS6 is if the air box intake (lid cover this) the opening is about 1" tall... the trans ams are about a 1/2" tall...
on the driver side door on the list of codes on the sticker there will be "WS6" on there as well...
