be used be used for other vehicles. i've also got a 01 GMC Seirra ext cab that i'de like to tune for better gas mileage. i have found a few of these on craigslist for a decent price. the part number is U7193. i'm hoping to pick one up soon and be able to use for both the truck and Z28. the motor in the truck is a 4.8 so every little bit helps.

gas mileage comes from VE/MAF tuning, injector short-pulse tuning (on swapped injector cars), and DFCO tuning. As far as I know, no handhelds at all do these things.

ok. well are these hand helds still compatible with other GM cars? ate least the power gains are still there. i know it won't be as much of a gain vs having a real tune done,(can't really afford right now), but every bit helps. thanks by the way

I never got around to posting the graph but I probably could tonight...

About a month or so ago, On an 02 Z71 and an 04 GTO, back to back on the dyno, the Diablo programming made so much knock from over-timing that both vehicles made more power when the OEM files were re-loaded. The owners *swore* their car and truck were faster with the Diablo programming though

I'm a little jaded though.

FWIW, if you were to invest in HPTuners, it could absolutely be used to tune both vehicles, and get it done on the credits that come with it up front.
