Hello peoples...an Iowa native here!

Hi everyone I've been on the site for awhile just havent posted. I guess I like to check out the 4 sale boards cause I'm usually looking for some parts or at least pricing stuff.
I guess what ties me to this site isnt that I own an f body,vette,gto,cts-v,or truck....I have a 87 monte ss with a 11,000 mile LS1 and 4L60E in it. Its a nice setup although I've definately learned from doing this swap but, I made ONE big mistake. I knew I'd have the SES light on the monte as i opted not to put most of the smog devices on the car and had the stock ecm. Well it turned out that I toasted the tranny...long story short, so as of right now I only have 1-2 gears & R. When I started this project 5 or so years back ( a long time I know-moving, no garage, family stuff, etc..) I really wanted a 6 speed but b/c the car was auto & I thought I might be in over my head already I opted for the A4, which I also got for a reasonable price as it was a package deal. Needless to say I currently have the 6 speed in my garage and now I need to get the auto out of the car and start work on getting the M6 back in. I'll be on the boards every so often mainly in the 4 sale forums talk to ya laters

Welcome Josh! Good luck with the project. What part of Iowa are you from? Do you know anything about Cedar Rapids? Is it a nice city?

Hi everyone,
no I dont know a whole lot about cedar rapids, a buddy and myself used to go up to hawkeye downs and watch asa races. I really havent been up there for much else. I do know there is a nice classic car shop up there although the name has slipped me.
