Clutch Disc Options?
Hi, I have a 98 TA slightly modded that I put a Spec Stage 3 Clutch, Pressure Plate and Flywheel in about 4 years ago and have driven about 35,000 miles on it. No problems other than chatter if I'm not careful. I also did the drill mod previously and replaced the pilot bushing, slave cylinder and throwout bearing.
It looks like in the last couple of weeks my slave cylinder started leaking and now the clutch is starting to slip.
I'm going to pull it all apart with the intention of getting a new slave and throwout bearing.
I would like to change the clutch disc as well since It's started to slip with the fluid leaking on it.
I am planning on keeping the same pressure plate, flywheel, etc...
Here's the question:
Should I get another Spec Stage 3 disc only? I liked it, but could do without the chatter.
Can I get another disc to use with the Stage 3 pressure plate? Stage 2 or different brand or even stock 02 LS1?
Any thoughts and recommendations are appreciated.
