went to track...smoked clutch, check engine light
So I went to the track last week with my bone stock 00 ws6 m6 having high expectations and totally sank. My check engine light came that day but I said screw it and went anyway, when I got there it was like 90 out and for my first run I went up against a 65 mustang well I smoked him when I took off though it lost traction I went through 1st and 2nd roasting em I got my time slip and it was disapointing I ran a 14.2 @ 101.94 so I parked it and figured id try again in 30 mins when I went up the 2nd time I thought id do better but I ended up running the weirdest thing ever never saw a time slip like it it was a 15.1 @ 100.53 when I went to shift to 3rd it kept locking me out and so I would coast over the line so I parked the car all I could smell was clutch the would get off the line but have NO traction and when it did catch it would rev real high and barely move and maybe the check engine light had something to do with the bad times who knows
but at least I know what it runs with smoked clutch and a check engine light centerforce clutch is on its way!!! then ill go back again
heres the times for those 2 runs any advice would help thx!!!

You are losing all your time spinning. You need to back off and let the car hook up. You should slip the car a bit off the line and spin the tires only enough to keep the car from bogging. After you fix your problems you will need to practice your launch.

What altitude you at? My car stock went 13.8/102 on a little quicker 60. You're gonna have to abuse (aggressive slip) the clutch to get a decent 60ft

I think you may be slipping the clutch too much or spinning the tires. There has to be an ever balance between the two. The hydraulics on the LS F-bodies suck.

The clutch slipping will rob a huge amount of power going from the engine to the wheels. Get a new clutch and flywheel, break it in properly, and then go to the track again and see what you can run.
