I like my clear MTI lid. Bought it from the WS6 store but, don't see them anymore.
MTI tech said they sold their stock to the WS6 store but, they still have them online to order.

Get yourself a lid. From SLP if you must.
Then find better place to purchase your parts from. As SLP sucks.

If you want a cold air kit, I would suggest Volant. Its sweet looking in my oppinion, and is a performer too.

ok so a cold air kit for the regular trans am is fine but fine but what about if you have a WS6 or plan on getting a WS6 hood? ive read in numerous threads that the two bodies of air colliding actually hurts the performance, so has anyone here used the JAAM WS6 Ram Air Kit?

he is talking about the two supply airways coming into the intake. not sure how the regular ta is but i know the ws6 gets its air from the nose. i know the z28 is meant to be solely a bottom feeder for its supply air, and the ss has the ram air like the firebirds but i havent personally seen a regular stock ta intake. if you have both supply airways open they collide causing way less steady air intake than a single supply would seeing as how one supply goes straight in. if he has both airways open which i dont know if he has a ws6 hood or not, then he would need to block the air from the radiator coming up from under the intake box or block the ws6 nostrils depending on what he gets. if he goes slp than the ws6 hood would be pure cosmetic upgrade and would need to block off the nostrils or close the lid opening at the little 3/4" x 14" opening in the front of the box. if he goes volant then he would need to block the air coming the radiator like i said earlier.
