The felt on the door guides is worn probably. You will have to take off the door panel to see them.

Yeah its the felt guides. Actually scratched the glass on my formula. Hence I have not replaced them... Glass is already ruined and I'm not putting a new window in anytime soon..

Get it fixed quick if it has not already scratched the glass.

About a $ 7 fix at your local G.M. dealer for the part. Take the door panel off and there are 2 per door. If you have ever locked your keys in your car, or someone was breaking in these will bend or sometimes break. NOT good to ignore because your window motor relies on the pressure against the gaskets and felt guides to keep the window on a smmoth track up and down. I 've repaired many Camaros and T/A s fiberglass door shells due to these pieces being broken or loose and the motor works the fiberglass loose around the rivets/bolts and wears a hole until the motor gets in a bind or the window is binding and tearing the fiberglass even more. CHANGE THEM NOW!!

Mine got all scratched to hell before I caught it. And no it wasnt the inside ones, it was the "felt-guides" on the outside side of the window. spend $5 on some velcro(use soft side only) and super glue and that will fix the problem.

There are 3 places to put the soft-velcro onto on my 94 Formy.
After a year I JUST replaced the passenger side as they started to slide off somehow (probably becuase I didnt remove the old felt stuff first...oops)...Driver side still holding up well...and I put my windows down A LOT as I dont have/use AC. Hope this helps.
