Silver- 1995 Chevy Camaro LT1
Will a 94 Silverado auto tranny fit in a 95 LT1 ?
Im helping my friend do a tranny swap.He bought a 1994 Silverado auto tranny from a 5.7 liter truck and I was wondering if that will bolt into his Z28 Lt1 camaro.Do I need to do any mods or change anything to get that tranny to work or is it the wrong tranny??Need help ASAP Thanks guys..

Well, the 94 trucks ran the Gen 1 smallblock, not sure the bellhousing pattern is the same as the LT1. Also, is the truck a 4wd or 2wd? If it's a 4wd, I'd probably say no, as 4wd trannys have different outputs, to bolt up to the transfer case.

Yes I agree, I think that 4wd have the transfer case bolted to the back. I am not sure if the electronics stayed the same. The truck doesn't have a tailshaft like the camaro. You could maybe switch the tailshaft if the output shafts are the same. Is there a model number on the case? Somewhere in there the went to more electronics in the 7004r and it became the 4l60e.

The tranny in the Camaro is a 4L60E and the Silverado,Im not sure but Ill check on it..

The bellhousing should be the same. The lt1 is a modified gen 1 small block.

I am not sure. Look at the two trannys and see if they have the same connectors. You could also call a junkyard, they might know if they interchange.
