New Challenger
so I got to play with the first two Challengers that came to Delaware today via railcar. A orange one and a black one. They were pretty cool. I was impressed with the quality of the vehicle. Thought it would have been louder though. Its nice that it has a 6.1 in it.......BUT it weight 5300lbs I shit you not!!!!!! I just cant believe it, quite rediculous if you ask me....they are cool but would I buy one....nope.

GVW isn't the curb weight, it's the combined weight of everything...passengers, fuel, cargo, etc

maybe that was the gross weight with people etc inside.......I will check again thursday at work....that was the only Total gross weight that ithad printed on it. It did have front and rear gross weight broken down so i will add them up as well to find out.

Black- 2002 Trans Am
GVW is basically the plateua weight rating for that vehicle, like the GVW on commercial trucks, if I recall correctly.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
The GVW on our Camaros is above 4200. That's the max rating with folks and such on board.

Gvw
yes gross vehicle weight is the car, you, your passengers, a full tank of gas, and cargo. to find out real weight, with just you in the car you need to put it on a scale. that doesnt mean that the challenger isnt a pig though.lol. my 99 z weighs 3665 with me and a full tank of gas.

The curb specs are 4150...so that's a good 4400 lbs with a average size guy and some gas

Monterey Maroon Metalic- 2000 Z28
Wow, I didn't realize they were for sale already! These cars look awesome in the magazines but the interrior leaves much to be desired. I guess it would have costed too much to separate the interrior from the Charger more. Can't wait to see them on the road. I think they are 13 second cars from the showroom floor, not bad for as heavy as they are.

Even though I'm not a Mopar guy, I wouldn't buy it for that very reason. (toooo heavy)
