09 EclipseGT 75 Chevy 4x4- 2001 Trans-Am 13 F-XT
Why would you want to change them? J/K
I'm going to do mine when I get to the headers next spring and do trans & motor mounts too. I'll yank the air pump and other crap all at the same time too. I hate taking things apart more often than needed.

I changed the plugs around 75K 'cause I thought I should. Plugs looked great! Only reason I put in new ones is I had already purchased them!
No reason to change wires.

I'm coming up on 77k and am going to change them within the next few weeks. Car seems to be running well, I got just hair over 24mpg my last tank, but it has a shake at idle, so I'm wondering if plugs will cure it.

I change the plugs once a year.
2500-3000 miles.
Wires are MSD. Should be good for quite some time.

I think he changes his plugs so often because they are not the stockers. Aftermarket plugs give you great performance, but have to be changed more often. The stock ones are made to last for a long time. I change my NGK's every 3,000 miles. Plus by no means is my valvetrain stock. But since I barely drive mine, that's about once a year for me. LOL!!!

I was driving 60 mi / day round trip on I 15 avg 70-75 MPH and got 20 mpg on a good day.
Moved to MO and drive 60 mi /day round trip, avg 55 mph and never get less than 22 mpg. Noticed an immediate increase in milage getting out of CA.
Out on the road, avg 70 mph, NOW, I get 25 - 26 mpg!
All this w/A4 AND 3.23 gears!
I do use cruise nearly all the time, even @ 55!
go figure.

All stock, 2,73's, and I drive like a grandma. Cruise set at 65, and I do mostly highway driving. I put on about 350 miles a week, work is 30 miles away from where I live, so I try to drive conservatively to cut my fuel bill down.
I get on it once in a while, but no racing and no holeshots.

tons of people run tr-55s and this is the first i've heard about someone needing to change them every 3k miles. most people put em on and leave em on forever w/o probs.
