Temperature Problem
does any one know where to find the sensor for the temp. gage. My problem is over heating so I disconnected the tubing that goes to the head. After doing this 5 times it was not overheating BUT now the temperature gage stays on the " C " cold position. ANY ONE HAVE A SOLUTION. i JUST HAD TWIN TURBOS INSTALLED ON MY BABY.

well the good news is the temp gage is working, but the engine is still overheating. Well I should say the gage reads just under 1/2 way and does not indicate a overheating problem but the coolant reservor over flows when the engine is turned off. You can see it filling then over flows and not as much as it did before, but still sucks. any ideas on what can be causing this problem.

Overflow from the radiator to the tank is normal. From the tank to outside probably means you have too much coolant in the tank. Also, do you think the TTs might have something to do with it?? In any event, if the temperature gauge is at the midpoint, you are OK.

well, I had remove one of the exhaust manifold to repair an exh. leak since then I have had this problem, so I don't believe the turbos are the problem and besides that I HAVE NOT tried to make boost because of this problem.

Did Nelson install the turbo's?

yes nelson performance did the install. but it is not completed yet because the exhaust was leaking on both manifolds. I took apart the left side and took it allen to weld the stock to the turbo intake manifold. He said he would try to repair the other side when there is room for my car......... so yes.

hey Sarge The problem with the reservoir over flowing was fixed when Dave @ the boerne dealership pressureized the cooant system. It seems in my haste to get the car running I connected the reservoir line to the pressure side of the radiator. Simple an stupid I was looking at problem and still couldn't see it.
