    header gaskets

    ok i put some slp long tubes on my 99 t/a about a month ago, and im having a problem. the header gaskets that that i got from slp did not seal well with the headers, so my question is that what kind of gaskets should i get?

    Had the same problem but with Edelbrock. Anyway what I did was buy these dead soft aluminum gaskets and this Hight Temp gasket seal in a tube and have had absolulty no probs.

    +1...use the gaskets that came with your manifolds. If those are pretty worn then just get replacement oem ones..

    OEM work just fine, Make sure when you replace the gaskets you tightin all of your bolts equaly.

    use Percy's dead soft aluminum. they have header and collector gaskets. these are great and you can get them from Jegs or Oriellys or Autozone. header gaskets are about $46 and the collector is about $16

    OEM GM gaskets should work just fine. Make sure you tighten them evenly like said above. Inside out. Also torque them to specs. I'm sitting on a year and almost 15,000 miles on my SLP's with no issue at all.

    You can use the other brand above just the same but the GM gaskets should work just fine unless the headers are warped or something.

    Perceys is what I got and just ordered it out of a mag. The seal was from an auto part store
