So I let my G/F Drive

I promised my gf I would let her drive so I did. I havent really drove anywhere since I got my SLP lid and I know it hasnt programmed the PCM to it yet. I let her drive for about 35 miles and I swear the gas gauge didnt move a bit..

Had 125 miles on the trip meter and 3/4 of a tank left. Pretty happy.

They always drive more conservative than we do. Best I can manage from the GTO is 21 MPG mixed. The wife unit can get 24-26 easy.

Hmm ive always seen girls get terrible gas mileage.. I watch them all floor it away from the lights and slam on the brakes at the last second to stop. Although one girl i dated was really a great driver, for a girl and from what ive seen otherwise. They probably get better as they get older though hah.

my g/f bought a 5 speed cavalier without knowing how to drive it so i promised and was successful in teaching her how to drive it.

now she asked (after continually saying how much she doesn't like the camaro with it's big "scary" shifter) that she would like to drive it.

i guess we'll just see how she does. she gives me shit all the time because her clutch has a zone about a mile wide and it's sloppy and has long throws on the shift in her cavalier so i jerk it a good bit. she doesn't. i told her just wait and see how much she enjoys and how good she'll be at my sport clutch with a zone of about 2 inches and much shorter and tighter throws.

    should be interesting.

haha...i believe that she picked up an 03 or 04...something along those lines. worst part is is that it's probably about as fast as my '96 monte carlo v6...depressing.

Im going to muscle it out. P&P TB. Cold Air Intake, lowering springs/ cat back exhaust. Its got the mini z06 style rims(that came stock). I dont really know the gas mileage of this vehicle but it really cant be that much better than mine.

she's got the same rims on hers. she got an LS...pretty much fully loaded. it's actually a very nice little car and gets pretty decent fuel mileage.

lol an old GF kept the pussy hostage untill she got to drive the T/A, I didnt have a problem letting her brive the bonneville, the diesel, or anything, but she knew how protective i was of my baby, the only other ones to drive it are mom and dad. So after about 2 weeks, just to be a pain in the ass i let her dad drive it. (BTW races stock cars on dirt track), then she was all fired up, but heres one of the reasons i was leery---she had no idea what the shifter was (asked where the "big D" was). then she found out it was a manual.......lol and i say behind her and she sat in front of me and steered while i shifted.....yes it counted, cuz after a while she stopped at an undisclosed location, and rolled over and made good on her end of the deal........

My dad used to tell a story that sums up a womans thought process while driving....

They were driving down the interstate and were in the right hand lane. A semi is merging onto the highway from an on-ramp. Mom is driving and there's a car to her left so she can't get over. Instead of slowing down or speeding up to give the semi room she just maintains speed. The semi finally squeezed in behind her and dad said. " That semi just about ran your ass over." Her reply " Yeah, but it would've been his fault."

Dad used to tell that story all the time. The moral.....if you're dead it doesn't matter who's fault it was.

that's how my gf drives, plus she drives pussy to the floor on the higway. her car is topped out 35 percent of the time she is on the highway. the other 65 is her accellerating up to top speed in her 10hp sentra. lol.

$150 better spent elsewhere or saved.

    LSX isnt an option..
So? Plenty of other quick cars out there as well. No HS kid should have an LS1 anyway.
