Lingenfelter 427

So eventually (once I get new rims, exhaust and the car painted the way I like) I plan on getting Lingenfelter's 427 package for the SS. Aside from a new transmission, clutch and rear end, does anyone have any recommendations for other things I should be looking into upgrading before taking the car to Indiana?

Suspension if you haven't already.

High quality motor/trans mounts. K-member, torque arm, shocks, SFC's, control arms....basically anything that is stamped steel, replace.

I would think the Lingenfelter shop would be able to help you make the right decisions.
When I sent my Corvette to Callaway for the SuperNatural conversion, we discussed all aspects of what needed to be done for the car to be able to handle the additional power and make it roadworthy.

just to let you know, you'd get more bang for your buck if you spend that 20 grand at a local speed shop on heads + cam + stroker block etc...

I considered that at first, but Lingenfelter has more to offer at that price, especially the 3-year/36,000 mile warranty (it's pretty comforting to know that if anything goes wrong (aside from it being my fault), they're gonna fix it).

I remember telling a mechanic friend of mine (who runs his own performance shop) about it, and initially he thought the price was a bit high. Needless to say, after he checked the website out and saw what they'd be doing to the car, he agreed that their price was not only fair but actually quite good!

And hey, what Mustang, Firebird, or even stock Corvette for that matter is gonna step up when they see the Lingenfelter 427 badge on my car? I can only hope some dumb ricers aren't familiar with the name!

I hear that!! Maybe some ricers just want to see how badly they will be beaten by pure American made muscle! Good luck getting the power to the ground!
