burning oil

my 01 runs great but seems to burn oil it doesnt blow smoke I run royal purple in it there is no problem with the way it runs, is this common

yep..............if I run mine pretty hard it goes through a little oil.............how much oil are we talking about ?

aquart or so a month I dont drive it much only five or six thou a year I started with the rec 10w30 royal purp I think this may have been too heavy I now use 5w20

hummm I dont know about that, with that little driving.........pm Sarge and ask him..........looks like you wil need to make some more posts before you can pm other users, I think its 20 or so
