Concealed carry preferences...
i carry a 9mm, which isnt too big, i use an in-the-pants holster on my strong side, but the damn thing digs into my hip bone all damn day.
ive got an underarm holster, but as its getting warmer, im going to have to have something that i can hide under my tshirt.
so...what does everyone prefer to carry and how?

I don't have my permit yet (haven't gone to go through the little course to get it - a breeze since it's a 'been there done that' kinda thing for me but anyway), but when I have carried a gun concealed I've prefered the little Kel-Tec P 32 auto in my inside coat pocket.

Awesome little gun!

It's damn near impossible to get a CCW here in cali...at least in my county. You have to have a interview with the chief/sheriff and have a good reason for needing one.

Fury,
I carry a Para-Ordnance P13 in an outside-the-pants leather Galco rig that has belt loop mounts, or a Fobus polymer paddle holster, both of which work well and hug the frame closely, reducing "printing." If I'm working a UC/plainclothes detail, I carry a Glock 27 in a Galco Cop-series polymer paddle holster, which is also very comfortable and does not print through a t-shirt. Hope that helps.Last edited by BLK02TransAm; 03-16-2008 at 09:50 AM.

Glock FTW.
Flat sides don't print and it doesn't hurt that it's a fine weapon.
Glock 22 here (40 S&W)

I've carried a Glock 27 (.40S&W chambering) as a backup/undercover/off-duty concealed weapon for almost seven years, and I love it. It's got great control, nine rounds plus one in the pipe, and is uber-small. The only things I'd offer in purchasing one are 1.) splurge for the nights sights... they are a lifesaver (literally) and 2.) put a few rounds downrage with it and, if you don't like the fact your pinky finger does not grip the magwell, there are super-cheap finger extensions you can buy (they're like $10 or so, if I recall) that will attach to the mag and give your pinky a resting spot on the gun, I use them on mine because I think the extension gives me better control.

I carry my USP Compact on my strong side with an "in-the-waist-band" kydex holster. It's suspended by two leather bits fore and aft of the holster that are attached to the loops which hold my belt. The holster itself is really comfy. The leather allows for movement and the belt loops come in various lengths so you can change the depth of the holster in your waistband. It's the C-T.A.C. holster listed on this page. http://www.comp-tac.com/catalog/ Good stuff. Molded to your specific gun as well.
I get the most discomfort from the texture on the weapon's grip rubbing my side. That's the only part that sux. When it gets hot, I have to debate whether I'd rather get raw skin from the grip or sweat from wearing a t-shirt under my t-shirt.

I carry a Kimber Ultra CDP (3" barell 1911) in a Brommeland Gunleather Max Con V inside the waistband holster on a Rafter S 1-1/2" cowhide gunbelt. I can hide it easily under a loose t-shirt and I barely even know it's there. I have actually driven for over 10 hours with it on and it was not bothersome at all.

I CC a Desert Eagle, that is, when I'm not showing it off.
I don't have a concealed holster, I just stick it in my pants.
Oh, and I hold it sideways when I shoot.

P-13 nice! I carry a P-14 Limited. Para has been my favorite for about 10 years now.
It all depends on the activity of the day. I have a in pants Galco that I carry in the middle of my waste. I also have a Galco belt holster that puts it @ a 45 on the middle of you back in the waste also.
What model 9 do you have?Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!
