Subframe Connector ?
I got a good deal on some SLP Bolt On Subframes that are brand new and never been used, I have heard a few people tell me I should weld them in even though they are supposed to bolt right up is there really that much of a difference or should I just bolt them up and leave them be?

For most applications bolt in will be OK; however, a weld is a much stronger bond than a threaded fastener.

i think the weld in ones come with extra places for welding along the subframe, so if u have the bolt in ones.. i am not sure. bolting should be ok, but welds dont come loose...unless they break..

Do you need a drive on lift to install bolt on SFC's?

No. Check out the instructions: http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...php?service=13
This is for weld in SFCs, but the bolt in's don't want the chassis to be loaded either.Last edited by RacerBob; 03-26-2008 at 04:30 AM. Reason: oversight "bolt in"

Welding is always the strongest, but once they are in it is hard to unweld. Where the bolt-ins you can unbolt them to work under the car etc. Performance difference between the two: on the street my 2cents you will not be able to tell the difference. A race only app. I still don’t think you well see a difference in performance.
I personally have the bolt-ins and have had no problems after 3 years of use.1998 Camaro SS Hard Coupe Bright Red #1593
