SUNSET ORANGE- 2001 CAMARO SS
Brake Rotor Question
My front rotors are warped and I want to get new ones. Does anyone have a recommendation of what kind to get? I don't want the high-dollar cross drilled ones, but the slotted ones might be OK for me.
Any ideas on what kind and where to get them?
Thanks,
Eddie

I hear the Autozone replacements are decent.

I've read that a lot of people get the Autozone ones b/c they have a lifetime warranty and they just replace them about once a year or so. Whether that is true or not, I'm not sure.

I went with EBC drilled and slotted (EBC-Combo/$299.99) and they are great, my friend went with the Rotoworks (ROTO-PKG/$169.99) and has no complaints he loves em. And thats for all 4 on both packages. http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...ath=235_66_301
So high dollar shouldn't be too much of an issue and you can have nice lookin rotors that are actually effective and reliable especially compared to stock.

effective means not getting drilled... you need the mass and contact surface area.

go to O'Reilly's and tell them that autozone has rotors that are cheaper.......they will price match it. You will get a little better quality rotor cheaper that way
just double check to make sure autozone is still cheaper..........I did this a
couple months ago

true to an extent. I meant dimpled and slotted. That is what mine are. Drilled all the way through supposedly weakens the integrity of the rotor. Thats why I went with the EBCs. the slots and dimples do not go through the rotors, but still provide a cooling effect (especially under hard applications and/or repeated applications) to make them last longer than normal rotors.

no cooling effect advantage on slotted rotors... only advantage, is that it gets rid of any small dirt that can be found between pad + rotor, especially if under dirty/wet conditions.

Yeah, drilled and slotted are mostly appearance and do not help performance.

If ya'll say so. I will stick with my dimpled/slotted set and not worry so much about cracking like I have seen stock rotors do.

the stock ones are plain shitty.
If you get the same you have just slotted or plain, it's better than drilled. slotted are good... not drilled.
