put a block of wood under the gas pedal

if one of your motor mounts or trans mount is worn or broken that will cause it if they arent your gonna have to get out the ford tool aka (hammer) it sucks but that is really the only way to stop it

it's more than likely your Y-pipe that's banging and not the headers themselves. Mufflex makes a hanger that's supposed to stop it. I just adjusted my exhaust and it cured it for me. I loosened everything all the way back to clamp above the axle. Then I changed the angle a little bit of the over the axle pipe to give me as much clearance as possible. After that I wedged blocks of wood between the floor and exhaust and tightened everythig down. Lastly, knock the blocks of wood out and you're good to go.

Look the exhaust over really well.. as well as the underside of the car.. if they are banging/rubbing.. you will be able to tell where... then adjust from there...

talking to a people with pacesetter headers say they have the same problem with them...it bangs right at the bend of the y-pipe on the drivers side there are marks where it hits..along with the BFH marks>.>
anyway thank you for the help...might try some of that advice i like the block of wood under the pedal though that just might work
..if my lead foot isn't to heavy to just smash the wood into pieces
