    Strange problem

Kinda weird question but maybe this happens to some of you. I park my TA outside at night and when I wake up there is one or two friggin cats on my hood. I run at them, yell and anything else you can think of to scare them off but the next day they are back on it again. The car is black and is in fantastic condition but these things are starting to leave scratches on the clearcoat. My question is what the hell do I do? The owner of the cats is a complete asshole for reasons I won't even get into. Killing them is not an option for me ( trust me I have thought about shooting or poisioning them with antifreeze) I just can't do that. So do you guys have any idea? Is there a scent you can buy and spray it on the driveway? Any ideas would be apreciated.

Well, Honestly I have no idea what you can do.. But, if it were up to me I would feed them antifreeze. A cat of mine ate it once, NOT MY FAULT, and it died the same night. Besides sounds like you have a damn nice car. Dont let a couple of stupid cats ruin it. Think expensive car or nasty cats.

    Ever consider a car cover?
Cats do that because of the heat I think. So, they may still get on your car but they won't scratch it. Plus there's the extra benefit of protecting it from other things as well.

Don't do anything mean to them. If anything it's the owners fault for leaving his cats outside during the winter, esp. overnight. They probably like it on your car because A) It's a high up place where they can watch out for predators/prey, and B) its a warm place to sleep during the cold night, if you recently drive your car before/during the night.

The first choice to solve it is parking inside, if its a possiblity.

If not, get a car cover. They're cheap at walmart, and it will protect your car from more than just cats.

Get a cat eating dog and let him stand guard around your car at night.

Also, All cats walk with their claws retracted.

If you don't wax your car so much, it won't be slippery and they wont have to use their claws to get traction

Get a alarm that detects the area around the car....it should go off and scare the cats away.

This happened to my T/A a few times...even with it in the garage. Julie's cats would get in there...and hang out on the car.

So I made Julie get rid of the cats and got a couple dogs.

I wouldn't do anything to the cats. You never know what kind of penalties the humane society can place on you.

I found that if I don't keep my car nice and slippery then they will be all over it. I figure that if it's clean and waxed they must just slide right off. Either that or they're not leaving any marks.

car cover is a biotch to be putting on all the time. A motion alarm might help. Antifreeze is mean.....but I know how you feel about cats on your car because it happens to me. Now if someone poisoned my dog, I would be mad. just somthing to think about before you go poisoning them. I wouldn't hesitate if it wasn't for that ^
