questions about lt4 firebird trans am

ok im looking at an lt4 firebird trans am... with ram air hood /functional
long tube headers
exhaust
port&polished heads
cold air filter
lt4 intake
lt4 cam
short throw shift w/ 6speed

i dont know to much about the LT1 -LT4 engines.... so there claiming that they converted the lt1 to a lt4 and now its pushing 400+ rwhp is that possible ?

With those mods its possible. I seen it happen with a few less mods. Sounds like a bad ass car, I love the LT4s, how much is he selling it for and for how much?

needs a few things like tune up ,vacum line,new clutch. but asking $4000

to me it doesnt seem that bad 400+ rwhp for 4000 bucks and its a 1996

also has ghost flames which im not crazy about and vette rims gun metal gray with chrome lips.

If he's running a stock LT4 cam, no way 400rwhp. With an LT4 hotcam, it is possible, but 400rwhp is probably near the limit with that cam.

i'd be willing to bet "lt4 cam" refers to Hotcam, based on the fact that it is even stated in the mods list. Some people don't even really know what they have. The car looks nice otherwise, but for that price I would look very carefully at the entire picture. Seems pretty cheap, but otherwise a great looking car.

no doubt about being cheap thats y i was asking a couple questions before i make the 2hr drive to look at it in person. thanks guys

the kits from gm or any other vendor do claim 400hp+ with the kit...intake, hotcam kit and all. plus p/p heads does wonders! its one of the best things to do to a hiper engine....i guarantee that it is at least 400hp WITH those mods.
