anyone whos owned a 98+ trans am and camaro or knows this
are the ashtrey lids the same for the car because i need on and someone said he had one for a camaro but does not know if they are the same as a trans am let me know

I just need to know this same question. I have one that is broken as well and wanted to know if these are prone to breaking.

i know if you go through ls1tech.com thrreads there are usally more than one person looking fro a ashtrey lid because they keep breaking theres

I have both a camaro and firebird and the lid looks the same I havent changed them though

I've owned two 4th gens and ridden in others, and I've never seen an ashtray cover that wasn't broken.
I'd say it'd be a rare find to come across one that isn't.

i think they are some one said on a diffrent thread that he switched his out iwth a camaro or other way around idk but i bought the one the person was going to sell me i hope they are the same

I had 98 camaro ss and I now have an 02 Trans-am. I'm almost positive it is the same.

mines broke too lol. im thinkin about just taking it off cuz its annoying as hell and i dont need it since i dont smoke. its just where i put my cell phone, anyways

mines not broken
i use the cup holder as my cell holder and theres spare change in there too. Its fairly inconvenient as a cup holder cause its in the way when shifting.

mine isn't really broke but I'm missing whatever keeps it shut. Whenever I hit the brakes the damn thing opens. I was told it was a spring but I don't think there would be any way for me to get another spring. oh well. As for them being the same as the camaro......
