New Bird Pics - 02 TA WS6
I finally got the lights installed in the ram air. What a pain in the ass..well worth it though. The pictures don't do justice, still look pretty cool.

what kind of lights did you use?

6" Neon Tubes from PepBoys. I also lined the baffles in the ram air with chrome vinyl to reflect the light better.

I'm usually not too fond of neons. But I will admit it... I think that looks SWEET.
Wonder what color I should do? I have a NBM WS6

Actually the concept is quite easy...It just takes time to do it right.
1. I used 2-6" neon tubes mounted to the bottom of the ram air intake
2. I then used chrome vinyl to line the back of the baffle so it reflects light a little better. You can use aluminium tape too if you dont have chrome vinyl.
3. I ran the wires out of the rear of the ram air and mounted them in wire loom down the hood.
4. You will have to pull out the computer to get to the grommet in the firewall. Route the wire through the firewall, it will come out behind the glovebox. You will have to remove the kick plate on the passenger side to get to the wire.
5. I ran the wire to a switch next to the cig. lighter and got the power from the radio.
It took me about 4 hours to complete the whole project.

I've got a Collector Edition, so I'll probably go with Street Glow Super Brite Yellow neons. I'm not sure how their black neons would look.

The yellow would look sweet...You can also paint the grills. I removed mine and painted them silver. Made it stand out a lot more that the stock black. Make sut you post pics if you do it.

You've definately inspired me to try this. I've been wanting to do something to the hood of my Impala, but the hood isn't designed to get behind the grills. I can now take that enthusiasm and use it on my TA.

Dude it looks awesome I plan to do it on mine.. Did you strip the wires to hook up to the others from the radio for power?

Looks cool, but being a Police Officer I can tell you that your heading for a nice sized ticket if you come across the right officer in the wrong mood, as blue/red lights such as what you have are illegal, as they are reserved for us and EMS types.
Nice work though I'm sure it looks sweet!

For sure, the tube it at the front of the ram air so it doesn't really affect the air flow.
