Does the GMMG exhaust have the same problem with high rpm raspiness like SLP's loudmouth does when you have headers, ory and no cats. I found some clips on ls1 sounds but I couldn't really tell. I had the loudmouth and I wanted to keep it loud but get rid of the raspiness so I swapped the resonator for a spiral flow bullet but that made my car a lot quieter and thats not what I'm looking for. What do you guys think?

Get a BORLA XR-1 5" round and you will have a Borlamouth. No drone or rasp like the LM resonator - XR-1 has a deep sound and I believe you will be happy with it.

The GMMG has rasp once you add heads. Big cubes it kind of sounds like shit to me.

I have long tube headers (Kooks), with cats, and a GMMG catback. It does develop a raspy sound at excelleration for a second or two then goes away. Can anybody tell me how a rasp sound develops in an exhaust system? What does it take to prevent it?

I have GMMG, longtubes, no cats and I dont notice much rasp at all. I think it sounds badass. It is definitely one of the best setups I have heard. Only has minor drone 2k rpms.

I know I promote the Borla XR-1 ALOT but its only because it saved me from having to buy a new catback exhaust when I bought the LM1. The LM1 made my car sound like a dump truck with no muffler. I couldnt even give the car moderate throttle without it being so loud everyone was looking like WTF??? With the Borla XR-1 in place of the LM resonator it is the perfect sound (deep, growling sound) with no rasp/drone. At normal throttle it can be heard but isnt too loud(you can still hear the radio). Get on the throttle moderately to heavy and it gets plenty loud for me. I will send you a PM on the cheapest place to buy it.
