mains?????
how many bolts are the mains on the lt's????i got people tellin me its a 2 but the comp says its a 4. is it both or what is the deal??

red- 95 Z28
there are both 2 and 4 bolt main LT1 blocks. corvettes got 4 bolt blocks.

That's right, f-body lt-1's have 2 bolt mains and lt-1 vette's have 4 bolt mains, that's why I upgraded my camaro's block to a 4 bolt from a vette.

its better to start with a 2 bolt and have the machine shop set it up with Splayed 4 bolt caps ,that way the outer bolts pull from the stronger side area instead of the weak saddle area.
