My 1st Real Race

so, i was driving down one of our local roads and i heard a mustang behind me. i look up in the rearview mirror and it was an 02 or 03 cobra. at first glance i seen that he had some money in it. it was lowered and had black cobra symbols. and it was damn loud and sounded really good. he followed me down the road a ways, pulled up next to me on one of the long straightaways, and we ran from 65 to 140. he immediatly jumped 1/2 a car length ahead of me and going into 4th he was 2 to 4 car lengths . after that we both hit the brakes due to traffic but got to talk a little bit going down the road. when i asked him what he had done to his car he wouldn't tell me. but, i saw that he had after market exhaust. and i heard the supercharger over the exhaust. i think he had some work done to that. all in all win or lose i was just happy finally running something that had some real balls to it. i will say those damn cobras run better than i thought they would. i guess i didn't do bad for a bone stock ls1.
i'll get him next time

i mean i have the 3in slp cat back,slp lid and smooth air...not much...yet...

Stock they make 375rwhp, with just a pulley, exhaust, intake and a tune they can make 450rwhp. And run 12flat with good drivers run 11.8s, stock they can run 12.7s. Which is what i run with just headers, catback and a lid, so if he was stock i could see a close race. But modded not really.

They sound good, better than a stock T/A with exhasut they sound awesome, he may have had exhaust and the stock supercharger pulley, if they have a custom supercharger they can make 600rwhp and run low 10s high 9s sometimes.

Yeah, it was proably too much car for him but dont feel bad, you jsut met the only mustang you cant beat.

ya untill the cam,headers and tune....and some new tires..

Yeah you can run mid 11s with a good cam setup and 4.10s and drag radials. They can run close ot that iwth jsut soem bolt ons and a tune, thr thing people do to those cars is up the boost and or put more power superchargers one, some people with alot of money go twin turbo.

Stock for stock, an LS1 F-body is no match for an '03-'04 Cobra. If it was supercharged, I wouldn't be surprised if it was simply a GT with all the Cobra graphics. The only ways I can see a stock LS1 F-body run that close to a Termi from a roll is: A. He's the worst driver in the world.
B. Something's very wrong with his car.
or C. He was toying with you.
It's no disrepect to your car, just a fact, that in stock trim, the Termis have the LS1s covered.

He said "2 to 4 cars" and from "65 to 140." A terminator will pull harder than that on a stock LS1 in that range.
