shifter knob?
This maybe dumb but i dont want to take the chance on fucking up my car so i thought i would ask on here. how to take off the stock shifting knob? is the threads holding it on? or does it just pull off? i was just being safe in case theres threads on it and i strip them off.
thanks

Black- 2004 GTO
It's been a long time since I changed the shifter, but from what I remember, there is 2 nuts up by the console, take those out, have to take off whole assembly, disconnect the t/c and window switches and the whole leather boot comes out......I never changed the knob just the shifter, so I could be wrong, and it's been a long time ago, so I hope this helps

To remove any shifter knob on any 04-06 gto, just give it a good yank, no threads to strip, it will just pop off....
