installing asp underdrive pulley

i am wanting to install this myself and i did a search on the install and went to ls1 how to , looks pretty simple. the only thing that has me worried is the part about putting a screwdriver in the flywheel to keep it from moving. what bothers me about doing this myself is , what if i put a screwdriver in the flywheel , and the engine still moves ? will that cause a big problem inside the engine

It won't cause any problems if the engine moves. If you have a m6 you can just put the car in gear to keep the motor from turning. Not sure on an a4 other than the old screwdriver in the flywheel.

You may already know, but in case you don't, you need a new crank bolt. The original is a torque to yield and can not be used again. A new one from the dealership will run you about $5-6.

A puller, new bolt, torque wrench and perhaps a big breaker bar. Thats all you should need.

ended up taking it to mechanic cause i got called into work and he just told me that the pulley goes in to deep and he cant get the belts on .

wtf?? That's why I do my own work right there. Goes in to deep? Is it the right pulley because other than that I can't see why he would have that problem.

that looks like the right one. I would get the part number and call somewhere to verify the part number is correct.

i was just looking at the thunder racing website, and if i looked at the right things i think they r to different part numbers

Yeah, I just looked at TR too. The part numbers are different. To be honest with you I'm not exactly sure what's different between the two. The vettes accessories are in different spots but I didn't know that would effect the depth of the pulley. Learn something everyday.
