i think it's about time that i get rid of their cd's that i do have.

seems kinda contradictory there as well. we shouldn't go to war for our citizens being killed and then at the end he's all sad to see a fallen marine. what a crock. he's not doing reality justice by separating the bad guys from the good guys...he's making american's look like the aggressors and a bunch of ruthless murderers which i don't agree with as well.

Yeah, Like you know your history. Do some research first. Why don't you read up on Armenian Genocide. Maybe that will change your mind on Armenian's being terrorists.

Pissed off..... after I saw them do an interview on Fuse I just get pissed off everytime I hear them on the radio. Their guitar player especially.

I think it was a pretty good metaphor myself. Anybody who's seen any interviews knows they are antiwar. I do have to admit that there is no mistaking a SOAD song. Their style is unique to say the least. I've been a fan of them (musically speaking - don't care for their politics) since day 1.

how could they be terrorists when they are anti war and violence? and isn't freedom of speech and opinion one of the key things that seperates our system from fundamentalist regimes?
btw: at the moment it seems that good intelligence and police work prevents terrorist attacks far more efficiently than military interventions. (see: london, copenhagen, frankfurt)
i think they (soad) are pointing their finger at what goes wrong in u.s. (and british, spanish, danish etc.) foreign policies, not at the american people!

This isnt Armenia this is AMERICA. Thats like a very popular american musician living in armenia and always talking crap about their government and their policies. This band is always in the spotlight here and even though they might not agree with the U.S, when they put out songs, lyrics, videos etc, what do you think teenagers are going to think about America. They will look and now do look to Serj and SOAD for their "crazy" political views for answers.

If I was 16 and saw that video I would not think they are anti-war anti-violence, I would think they hate the military and are making fun of the military. I especialy hate the toy planes going into the made to look like the twin towers.

yes i should have just said that. Another big reason i cant stand them is my experience with them at Ozzfest, i think in 02. The whole set their lead guitarist, Daren I think, was acting like he is just soooo crazy and in between songs he would continue to scream and say stupid crap to seem like he was just soooo nuts in the head. Im talking about 5 minutes between each song this would go on, i dont think serj even said a word other than sing which he barely did because this idiiot sings most as well.

Listen to Meshuggah or Bloodbath.

Personally, IMHO anybody who turns to a musical group for anything other than musical entertainment has a bit of a problem discriminating fact from fantasy.

If what you're saying is true then I guess I should have become an acid head from listening to The Doors and Jimi Hendrix back in the 60's.
